Business System Analyst

Job Description:

  1. Maintain, improve, and increase Wholesale Interiors Business to Business (B2B) partnerships using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with third party customers’ ecommerce platforms, Oracle/NetSuite, B2B Gateway, Commerce Hub system, warehouse system, and co-packers. Evaluate, document and analyze information and data required for various customer and marketing analyses requests. Collect and analyze the sales order report, gather the customer meaningful feedback to recommend strategy changes. (20%)
  2. Maintains design documentation, including Business Requirements Documentation (“Use Cases”), project plans, presentations, and Participates in gathering and analyzing of internal business requirements and workflow, analyses and facilitated discussions with users. Maintain business ERP systems and processes on an as-needed basis. (20%)
  3. Stay informed of wholesale accounts new platform developments and capabilities along with marketing programs to leverage effectively. Using ERP system to test and maintain the most efficient and smooth running in the E-commerce environment. Help users resolve invoicing, pricing, delivery and other sales issues (5%)
  4. Responsible for weekly/monthly sales reporting by account. Analyze business, identify areas of opportunity to achieve sales goals and send out weekly/monthly reports. Using system dashboard to analyze sales performance and forecast to evaluate merchandise profitability, top selling merchandise, market response for each promotion, and return ration by reason. (15%)
  5. Test, maintain, and monitor computer program and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems. Expand or modify system to serve new proposes or improve work flow. (15%)
  6. Research current international vendors and distributors to analyze their activity and efficiency, and use the information to recommend changes and improvements to current logistical models and business plans by analyzing the inventory status report and shipping cost profit report. (5%)
  7. Maintain, develop, and adhere to all pricing guidelines and strategies. Ensure price points and promotional strategies align with brand objectives, meet business goals, and maintain integrity in the products IE: adhere to all MAP pricing guidelines. (10%)
  8. Support product development by providing data mining (ERP system data mining) to create support materials for negotiation meetings. (5%)
  9. Build and maintain excellent partnerships with external vendors and internal teams. (5%)

Key Competencies:

  1. Experience with ERP system including purchase to pay and order to cash processes.
  2. Experience maintaining integration between multiple systems.
  3. Demonstrated ability to create and edit training materials.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional including MS-Access (able to write complex queries, reports and forms) and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with and influence multiple levels of the organizations.
  6. Excellent communication skills: written and oral.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required.
  2. Experience supporting ERP systems, preferably in the order management and manufacturing build to ship processes.
  3. Proven experience with requirements gathering, system design/implementation, system support, and user training.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex system issues.
  5. Excellent analytical skills with a basic knowledge of IT architecture.
  6. Strong BA skills – experience with process modeling, use case development and detailed requirements documentation.
  7. Previous operations experience in a retail environment a plus.
  8. Experience with B2B and EDI is a big plus.
