Online Merchandiser:
Job Description:
- 1.Coordinate and execute all site content updates
to support marketing calendar initiatives, product launches and promotions and
to maximize exposure and business. Track online exposure for brand by account
while also tracking competitor exposure. Using financial model to analyze which
is the main factor to the best exposure to the customer (10%)
- 2.Stay informed of wholesale accounts new platform
developments and capabilities along with marketing programs to leverage effectively.
Using financial method to maintain the best leverage ratio (5%)
- 3.Responsible for weekly/monthly sales reporting
by account. Analyze business, identify areas of opportunity to achieve sales
goals and send out weekly/monthly reports. Using financial modeling to analyze
sales performance and forecast to evaluate merchandise profitability, top
selling merchandise, market response for each promotion, and return ration by
reason (15%)
- 4.Calculate each account’s main financial ratios
such as Profit Margin, Return to Equity, Return to Asset, etc. to monitor the
profitability of each account (10%)
- 5.Using the demand and pricing analysis to
forecast the sales trends to understand current market trends and competition
to properly position products. Using financial method to forecast which product
has the highest probability of the trend in the future (5%)
- 6.Research current international vendors and
distributors to analyze their activity and efficiency, and use the information
to recommend changes and improvements to current logistical models and business
plans by providing cost-reduction method (5%)
- 7.Monitor our current inventory situation to
determine when we are approaching out of stock levels, how to distribute
current inventory to different clients and identify when we might have “aging”
inventory. Manage product assortments, product descriptions, categorization, cross-sells
and attributions (20%)
- 8.Stay current on inventory levels, customer
feedback, and shifting business priorities, be prepared to develop and execute
action plans in response to a rapidly changing business environment (10%)
- 9.Maintain, develop, and adhere to all pricing
guidelines and strategies. Ensure price
points and promotional strategies align with brand objectives, meet business
goals, and maintain integrity in the products (10%)
- 10.Support product development by providing
economic and financial models to create support materials for negotiation
meetings (5%)
- 11.Build and maintain excellent partnerships with
external vendors and internal teams (5%)
Key Competencies:
- 1.Detailed oriented self-starter with proven track
records of multi-task management in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- 2.Proficient in MS Office software, specially
intermediate to advanced Excel Skills
- 3.Sound understanding of profit & loss
management and sales reporting & analysis.
- 4.Experience using financial analysis, pricing,
cost estimating, forecasting, promotional planning, assortment planning and
vendor management.
Requirements:
- 1.Minimum Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, statistics, or
closely related field.
- 2.Advanced excel skills including VBA, pivot
tables, vlookup, and other analysis functions.
- 3.Strong analytical, problem solving and reporting
skills.
- 4.Good understanding of e-commerce software
applications, database management skills.
- 5.Excellent verbal and written communication
skill.
